Stephanie Craig brings a diverse range of experiences and a deep passion for early childhood education to her role as a Preschool Teacher at Holy Family Catholic School. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education K-6 and Special Education Preschool through 12th grade from Mercyhurst University, as well as a Master's degree in Educational Technology and Instructional Design from the University of South Carolina.
With a career that has taken her through various roles and locations, Stephanie has accumulated a wealth of knowledge and expertise in education. Starting as a preschool aide before transitioning to teaching, she has taught special education in Columbia, South Carolina, and learning support in Nashville, Tennessee. Additionally, Stephanie has served as an educational technology coach, helping teachers integrate technology into their lessons, and as an instructional designer for Mercyhurst University, designing online classes.
In her role as a 3rd grade teacher as well as ELA for 3rd - 5th at Holy Family, Stephanie finds joy in the enthusiasm and happiness that students bring to the classroom each day. Her goal is to instill in them a love for learning and provide a solid foundation for years to come. Utilizing hands-on activities and fostering important skills such as patience, listening, and personal boundaries, Stephanie creates a nurturing learning environment where children thrive.
Stephanie values the opportunity to share her faith with her students and appreciates working in a Catholic school where she can integrate Jesus into her teaching.
Outside of school, Stephanie enjoys spending time with her family, which includes her three children who attend Holy Family Catholic School. They are actively involved in sports, both at school and in the community, and enjoy outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, and fishing. Stephanie's love for summer extends to outdoor adventures and attending Pirates games. She also enjoys reading, gardening, knitting, cooking for her family, and baking sourdough bread. Family game nights and backyard movies in the summer are cherished traditions for the Craig family.
