Overview

Each Catholic school within the purview of Pittsburgh East Regional Catholic Elementary Schools (PERCES) has a School Advisory Council (SAC) whose members are selected by the principal and/or School Pastor.  Members are charged with supporting and contributing to the Mission of the school, and are expected to offer expertise and assistance in areas that are designated as the Principal's responsibilities.  More specifically, SAC members serve as a consultative and planning body in advising, assisting and supporting the Principal in matters relating to the school.

SAC members, as well as other appointed volunteers from the school community or community at large, lead and support standing subcommittees in the areas of:

• Finance and Development
• Academic and Student Affairs
• Spirituality and Ministry
• Nominating
• Buildings and Grounds
• Public Relations
• Recruitment and Retention
